INKJET CARTRIDGE- LIFELINE OF PRINTERS

It all started around twenty years back when printers were just invented in 1976. But it became house hold name after Hewlett Packard came into site. It started mass production and hence by was able to drastically cut down the price and so made the inkjet printers a house hold name. Inkjet cartridges are like blood to printers. There are other types of printers available in market as laser printers but inkjet printers are more suitable for common man’s needs.

Inkjet cartridge is the backbone of printers. It is basically the reservoir of ink whether be black or coloured. The stored ink in it sprays through a nozzle called printer head, which makes very small dots of ink. In case of coloured inkjet cartridge, the colours are pooled over to form lush and consistently toned coloured images.  There are two types of inks used namely- dye based and pigmented of which the latter is better as it is waterproof and fade proof. There are three types of inkjet cartridges available in the market as original equipment manufacturer (OEM) which is available by respective companies itself. Then there is Compatible ink cartridge which can run with any brand. And lastly it is remanufactured cartridges which are easily refillable.

Canon, Epson, Lexmark and Dell all are big names in the domain of the inkjet cartridge. It is better to use refillable cartridges with respect to money and environment. And inkjet cartridge is the backbone behind house or small office printers.
