Refill, Reuse, Maintain

It seems that in most cases, we forget that machinery require a little human touch to maintain. We change the oil in our car’s, preform tune-up’s to keep it going strong, and even clean it out when It gets dirty. But what do we do for our home printers?

We seldom forget that a printer is just another machine. And machines need love too. In order to keep them in tip top shape, we need to clean them out, run cleaning cycles, and change or refill the cartridges when they’re no longer filled. This, of course, prolongs the life of your printer, and keeps the quality of each and every print at a pristine level.

Cleaning cycles are your best friend. Think of a cleaning cycle as a minor flush to your system. The printer flushes the ink through the head, trying to purge any clogs leading to the problem. This in turn cleans out the print head, and puts your printer back on track. Of course, not everything can be resolved via a cleaning cycle. From time to time, you need to use either cleaning cartridges or a flush kit. These items will help purge hard to clean areas inside the print head, and will help dissolve unwanted deposits left inside by dried up ink. When push comes to shove, the flush kit proves to be #1 against the fight on clogs.
