In the past one year, Canon has taken the color inkjet market by storm. The reason behind its success is their latest innovation of using separate cylinders for separate colors. Traditionally cartridges used to combine many colors into one print cartridge, but with the latest Canon technology, a user has smarter and longer print option. Instead of using a single large cartridge for all colors, Canon use individual ink tanks for each color. This gives the option of replacing only that tank, which ink has been run out, instead of replacing the entire cartridge. Every color tank has built-in low ink sensor head that gives warning when the ink of that tank reached near depletion level. Replacing empty tank is an easy process as they quickly slide into place and their economical use make them last longer. 

Single tank replacement technology of Canon lowers the printing cost and makes printing more efficient. It also reduces the wastage of ink, which otherwise would have been thrown because of a single color. Canon has also ensured lower price of individual tanks. Canon latest technology has taken them much ahead in the competition, as they have arrived on the method that reduces maintenance and upfront cost
