Many printer ink suppliers offer compatible toner Inkjet Cartridges as alternative to the original manufacturers’ product. This has become the recent trend in the printer ink market, but customers often ask, how good are these non-original toner cartridges?
Well, OEM cartridges means Original Equipment Manufacturer product and this is produced by the same manufacturer as your printer. So, if your printer is a Samsung device, this cartridge will be designed by Samsung. On the other hand, compatible or non-original toner cartridges are remanufactured from used original toner cartridges. The empty cartridges are sent back to the remanufacturing unit, where these are examined, cleaned and then refilled. Most of the internal components are replaced and the cartridge is then refilled with toner. These alternatives are often sold under the retailers own brand tag.
While most of the components are replaced during the recycling process, it is still a recycled product and hence it can’t be better than the OEM products. However, some retailers claim that their compatible cartridges exceed the OEM product. Again, some models of the remanufactured cartridges may contain more toner than the OEM and therefore print more pages. But, this shouldn’t be a reason to claim that the remanufactured cartridges exceed the quality of original.
Worthwhile to mention, compatible cartridges are significantly cheaper than its original counterpart. The amount of money you are saving really depends on the printer that you are buying cartridges for, and it is not unreasonable to expect saving more than 40%. So, you can surely cut your printing budget by purchasing Cheap Samsung Cartridges, if you own a printer of this brand.
