Canon PG-30 Black Ink has pigment ink formulation which provides crisp, laser-quality text and durable prints. It resists smearing and smudging caused by highlighters.
When the cartridges run out, users can choose to refill the empty unit following the instructions for refilling Canon PG-30. Here are the few steps:
First of all, you need to remove the label from the top of cartridge. Then using the drill tool, you need to widen the refill holes for each color. Prepare an area for refilling and then attach the needle to syringe and fill the syringe with 6ml of ink position for the 41, 51, 52 cartridges for color Inkjet Cartridges or 20ml for the black 40 and 50 cartridges. Remember that your needle must be inserted into proper color ink hole that you have created in the vent. Once you have done with it, penetrate the sponge inside and make sure that the needle does not reach the bottom of cartridge, otherwise the cartridge will leak and is not salvageable.
After the process is done, you need to slowly inject the ink into the cartridge but stop if the ink begins to well up from the fill hole. Repeat the process and pull about 1ml of ink if it has spilled out on the top of the cartridge. Now, clean off the top of the cartridge, un-tape the next fill hole and tape over the one just filled. This way you won’t accidentally contamination other colors. Place tape over the top of the cartridge so it covers every hole. Finally, use a pin and put a small hole through the tape for each hole on the top of the cartridge. And then, reinstall the cartridge.
