Some errors such as “Ink system failure”, “Scanner system failure” and similar error messages on HP printers can be resolved quickly in some cases. They are usually related to the printer not recognizing the cartridges, so check that you have a good contact with the chips on the cartridge (if the cartridges have chips) first, and then try these procedures:
THE UNI-KIT CHIP RESETTER is used to reset the chip on an Epson inkjet cartridge, and does not change the property of the cartridge itself. In order to reuse an Epson ink cartridge, it needs to be both “reset” and “refilled”.
Brother CIS systems
The Brother CIS systems are created a little different from the conventional CIS. Brother model do not require separate tanks with tubing since the cartridges feed ink into an internal tubing mechanism.
You may encounter a low ink message when trying to print. DO NOT be alarmed. This is very common because you are using a remanufactured or recycled inkjet cartridges. The ink gauge on your printer will no longer read the ink levels correctly because it does not recognize your cartridge as “new”. There is no way to reset this gauge, but this message can be bypassed easily when necessary and will not affect your printing performance. Keep in mind that the ink gauges on printers only serve as an ESTIMATE of how much ink may be remaining in the cartridge.
