How Much Ink your Epson Inkjet Cartridges Hold on Average

Almost every inkjet cartridges affirms its printer ink yield on the top of the box package but this simply shows the estimated number of pages that can be printed from a particular cartridge. However, figures may vary between the different brands because one brand might use a specific printer’s test settings and another might be based on a regular test page.

Epson inkjet cartridges are easy to use printer supplies. They are purchased in sealed package that protects the cartridge and each cartridge is numbered depending on their color and the model they are designed for. A particular printer has its own set of special cartridge that is not identical or compatible with another printer in most cases. The cartridges are delicate so they need to be carefully handled and you need to gently shake the cartridge before using. If an Epson inkjet cartridge is damaged before it has been fitted to the printer, it will not work anymore.

However, the major complaints about Epson inkjet cartridges are the cost and the little quantity of ink they hold. Additionally, the other main concern is that Epson printers often report the ink cartridge as empty when there is a little amount of ink still left in the cartridge and the problem arising out when Epson printer no longer identifies the ink cartridge.

Epson inkjet cartridges hold about 8 to 10 ml of ink on average, while Epson compatible cartridges hold about 15 ml, and refillable Epson ink cartridges hold about 20 ml of ink.  Thus, refilling your empty cartridges will provide you more value for money.
