How Many Times Can a Cartridge be Refilled?

There are no specific numbers of times a cartridge can be refilled. Inkjet cartridges include many components and any of these microscopic components can be damaged at any time, rendering the cartridge useless.

Inkjet printer generally use a series of tiny nozzles located in the print head. With the help of these tiny nozzles the printer spray minute dots on the printing surface sent through the printer. If any of the nozzles gets clogged, or become misaligned, then the cartridge will reach its end of life. There are even many other tiny pieces within the cartridge of a printer that can ultimately end up faltering before the other cartridge or before it has been utilized for the regular number of refills.

For the most effective way out in prolonging your cartridge’s life, you must take proper care of it. Make sure to refill your cartridge before it is completely dry or becomes empty. If any trace of dried ink is found on the outside of the cartridge, always follow the soaking instruction. Also make sure not to handle your cartridge any more than necessary. The cartridge holders are available to be used during the refilling process. By using the particular cartridge holder, you will not have the risk of getting smudges on the contacts. The printer sensors should not be touched, and always make sure to refill cartridges right before they dry out in order to get best results. Stop refilling the cartridges when the print quality fails or starts to diminish.
