Understanding Laser Toner Cartridges and its Performance

Laser toner cartridges are the ink that a typical laser printer uses for printing. They use dry ink particles that are picked by the drum through a static charge imprinted by the laser and then trapped onto the paper. Toner is a carbon or polymer power that is melted and then transferred to the page.

A laser printer uses a laser light beam for printing operations. It is also different from other printers of the range because of its extremely accurate rendering and exceptional printing speed. It utilizes a special process to create an image by the action of light on a particularly coated charged plate, also known as xerographic printing. A large number of laser printers in the market can effectively print more than hundred colored pages and two hundred non-colored pages every single minute.

When a text or image is processed into the CPU, it produces a series of varying voltage. This controls the LED (light emitting diode) in the printer. The laser or LED emits negative charge to the areas where the image is being printed and it imprints the image of what you are printing with a negative charge. The area consequent to the text or image will either be neutralized or oppositely charged. A toner which has similar charge as the background is sprayed onto the printing surface. A fresh piece of paper is then pressed onto the toner and is heated at some degree so that it sticks firmly on the paper.
