Canon Creates a Benchmark with the Recent Launching of 12-ink A3 Printer

Canon has come up with its newly launched Pixma Pro-1 range. This groundbreaking model is considered in the printing industry as the world’s first A3 Printer that uses 12 separate ink colors, and it is specifically designed for professional and amateur photographers.

This particular model can efficiently print on media up to 11”x17”, using 12 inks, also called Canon Lucia inks. The printer uses a large color range, and also features new Chroma Optimizer for improved black density and more consistent glossiness. Out of the 12 inks, 5 inks are monochrome black and gray used for producing high quality monochrome black photo output. Another latest feature included in it is the Optimum Image Generating (OIG), which analyses colors in photos and then calculates the optimum ink combination and amount of ink droplets, which increases color reproduction and provides natural tonal shades.

Canon 12-ink A3 Printer has ink tank capacity of 2.5 xs which is larger than previous models, so that the printer users will have to replace the ink cartridges less often. There are two areas where Inkjet Cartridges are housed in the printer, both of which are situated in the front of the printer. The rear paper tray accepts up to 20 sheets of photo paper, while the capacity of manual feed slot is to accept photo paper up to 14” wide (356mm) and heavier fine art papers.

The printer is also noteworthy for its extremely high ink capacity. Along with 12 separate ink features, it also has an ink tank capacity five times larger than the nearest model and it has been customized especially to perform for a long time between ink changes.
