Inkjet cartridge problems are common when you are replacing or using a new ink cartridge in your printer. These unwanted problems can easily hamper your work and even destroy your printer in the long run. That is why, it’s important that you fix the various inkjet cartridge problems like ink bleeding, no printing, or unusual print quality. Many of us think that we need to call an expert to solve these problems. But these are not such big issues and you can fix most of these cartridge problems by following some of the necessary ‘Do It Yourself’ directions:

  • In case of a cartridge problem, first of all, look at your printer software program and access printer properties to follow further instructions provided in the ‘maintenance’ or ‘service’ tab, to help you fix your problem. Then print a test page to see whether it’s sorted out or not.
  • If your test printout comes in only one color, then print it out in several colors to check whether all colors are being used in the cartridge or not. It may be that the ink in the cartridge did not mix well to produce desired color prints.
  • Clean your printer thoroughly before putting your inkjet cartridge back into the printer. Use a moist paper towel or wet cotton to clean the cartridge carriage in the printer.
  • Let it dry well before using the printer for next printing work.
  • Similarly, remove all dirt from your ink cartridge by cleaning the circuit strip at the back of the cartridge and also wipe off the carriage contacts on the inkjet cartridge with a cotton swab dipped in warm water. Be sure to dry off the moisture from the ink cartridge before placing it back into the printer.
  • Reinstall or replace your fresh cartridge to be used. Fix it well at the right place to produce smooth prints on the paper. See to it that it does not stick somewhere and remove the excess ink at the sides of the cartridge.

In this way you can easily fix your inkjet cartridge problems and enjoy hassle free printing with your well maintained printer and ink cartridge.
