With increasing workload on computers, printers have become an essential device for business requirement. With just 20 years of back history, printers have come a long way after Hewlett Packard took to manufacture printers. Companies as Canon, Epson, Dell and Lexmark are big names in the field of printing solution, Inkjet tops the list. The cartridge is the lifeline of the printer. It is the storehouse of the ink through which the printer runs.
The working of inkjet cartridges is quiet easy. The ink stored in it is spread through a series of small nozzles known as print heads, which make very small dots of ink. For coloured inkjet cartridges, the colours are pooled over to form colour images. There are two types of inks used in the inkjet cartridges basically- dye based and pigmented inks. The pigmented inks are the better option as they are fade proof. There are three types of inkjet cartridges namely original equipment manufacturer (OEM) available by respective companies and Compatible ink cartridges which are produced by local brands that can go with any printer and lastly remanufactured cartridges which are refillable.
Inkjet cartridges are the lifeline of house or small office printers. It is better to use the recyclable cartridges as it is cost effective and environment friendly
