There are times when the photo that you print doesn’t look the same as it does in the computer. This is most probably because when the ink hits the paper, the combination of the colors and the texture of the paper produces its own color. For instance, the black, cyan, magenta, and yellow colors from Brother HL-2270dw cartridges have their own whiteness, density, and reflection making them different from what you expect from the screen.
If you want your printed material to be exactly the same as you see it in the monitor, the printer and the monitor is calibrated. If you want them to match, then you need to calibrate them. You can either use some tools or do basic calibration.
To do basic video calibration, all you have to do is print out an image and test it to see if it’s the same. After that, you adjust the grayscale of the screen to try and match the print out. Don’t worry, this can be done with any printer and any cartridge. Whether you’re using Brother HL-2270dw cartridges or anything else, you can calibrate this way.
Other than that, there are also some calibration tools that you can use to make it easier for you. The most common is the Color Management Systems which can easily calibrate your monitor, scanner, and printers all in one go. This way, you can ensure that all your devices are consistent when it comes to color.
