Printers that have not been used for several months or even a couple of years usually get clogged ink cartridges.
Nonetheless, there is no need to panic since there are ways to fix it like those of Canon inkjet cartridges, and you can learn them here in this post.
- Look for the print-head cleaning function.
There are printers who have this option built-in on them or you can browse your computer and look for this function. If you are having a hard time on this, you can always refer to the user manual for you to be guided on the proper steps.
- Place the ink cartridge in a basin with hot water.
When doing this procedure, make sure that you place in the water the part where the ink comes out. It is advised that you wait for five to twenty minutes before removing the cartridge in the water.
- Use a vacuum.
Use of a vacuum must be regulated. It must be turned only for a few seconds per use. This can ensure that the nozzle is cleared. After such, you can wipe off the remaining ink on the cartridge.
The above-mentioned steps might just be a little messy, but it can be a solution to your current printer cartridge problem.
