Printer manufacturers are ripping off customers by charging astronomical prices for their printer cartridges. In many cases a replacement cartridge can cost around 80% of the initial cost of the original printer along with the cartridges!
In fact, there are a couple of reasons for the high cost of replacement cartridges. To begin with, your inkjet cartridges is an advanced technological device. The print head is the most crucial component that produces colors at the resolutions of 600 dots per inch. Additionally, the Ink itself is also greatly engineered to produce the exact density to prevent clogging the cartridge and to deliver consistent results with each print.
The other main reason is that the printer manufacturers make huge profit over the life of the printer from selling replacement cartridges. If you do a lot of printing work regularly for your home business, it becomes a rising expenditure too. So, to avoid the high cost of printer ink, it is wise to purchase refilled cartridges or compatible cartridges. The manufacturers may claim that the warranty of the printer being cancelled, however it is not true and you would not do any permanent damage through using affordable alternatives to printer ink.
It is to state that refilled cartridges and third party compatibles just do not produce the similar quality output, and they print fewer pages than the genuine product. Therefore, if you are printing for normal purpose, alternative options are good, however if you intend to print for external purposes, it is better to stick to the OEM option.
